The University of Missouri and its School of Medicine share the following definitions of diversity and inclusion
Pontotoc Technology Center (PTC) has a diverse economy with a large health community including Mercy Hospital, Chickasaw Nation Health System and Rolling Hills Psychiatric Hospital. Pontotoc also has a large mining sector with Holcim, Unimin, and Fairmount Minerals, a large manufacturing sector with Flex-N-Gate and Solo Cup and a large service industry with Pre Paid Legal Services dba Legal Shield and Interactive Response Technologies. These diverse sectors are served in a rural setting.
McLennan County was created by the Texas Legislature in 1850 out of Milam County, and is named for Neil McLennan, an early settler. The county seat, Waco, had been founded originally as an outpost of the Texas Rangers, laid out by George Erath, and was known by 1850 as "Waco Village." According to local lore, the first sustained flight did not occur in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, but just outside Tokio, a small community in McLennan County, by a man flying a gyrocopter.
