The Chief Financial Officer provides strategic vision, planning, project coordination and overall leadership to the management of financial and accounting activities. A critical member of the executive team, the Chief Financial Officer works closely with management and the private equity owners to develop and execute strategy to guide the company`s accounting practices and growth. Additional responsibilities include:
• Drive excellence in financial systems and controls. Provide leadership for all financial accounting and reporting, contract pricing, tax planning and compliance, treasury management, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, audit work (internal and external), risk management, and transaction activities.
• Be a roll up your sleeves technical accounting executive with experience dealing with complex healthcare contracting, payors and billing issues
• Support the CEO and Growth function in achieving EBITDA growth.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and a collaborative member of the executive team. Actively participate in the development and implementation of the company`s strategic plan to advance the company`s growth, profitability, and balance sheet objectives. Provide guidance and assistance to operations in identifying key drivers to their financial success.
• Exercise financial expertise. Analyze all functions of the business to identify and pursue all potential cost savings and financial business opportunities. Maintain strong banking relationships and understanding of sophisticated financial reporting pursuant to private equity ownership. Lead all financial operations and activities, contract pricing, tax planning and compliance, treasury management, SOX compliance, internal and external audit work, risk management and transaction activities.
• Effectively communicate with the lending and investing stakeholders to ensure transparent reporting and planning. Be knowledgeable on credit agreements and ensure covenants are being tracked carefully. Know and manage debt compliance and complete the monthly operating package. Evaluate ways to restructure debt if needed.
• Ensure accurate reporting of monthly/quarterly/ annual financial statements, and make certain that the appropriate analysis of financial metrics occurs and is being properly considered in the running of the business.
• Drive the acquisitions engine. Provide strategic M&A analysis, due diligence, and integration modeling of selected targets in conjunction with the Board, Management, and Equity owners.
• Build and manage a world class finance team. Inspire, lead, mentor, measure and appraise the finance team to ensure stellar capabilities at all levels. Help drive a culture of financial accuracy and accountability.
• Play a key role in the company`s internal operations.
• Partner with CEO to inform Board of finance activities and strategic direction, particularly as relevant for M&A deals and larger corporate contract negotiations. Serve as a source of insight and perspective for investors, providing timely answers to all inquiries.
• Act as a credible face of the company to external parties, in running the business and also as part of executing an eventual exit strategy. Demonstrate the experience and knowledge to successfully lead an IPO.
