As the business matured, it became clear that the challenges to cross-border commerce went way beyond currency – to include payment services, logistics, and cultural considerations. The company was named FiftyOne. In 2012, FiftyOne acquired Borderfree, another international ecommerce company, from Canada Post, and adopted the name in 2013.
