The roots of the News-Press & Gazette Co., or NPG Co., stretch back to the days of the Wild West in St. Joseph, Missouri, with the publication of the first Gazette in 1845. Clear Channel Communications sold off its ownership stake in Sirius XM Radio during the second quarter of fiscal year 2013. As a result of the sale, nine of Clear Channel's eleven XM Satellite Radio stations, including Fox Sports Radio, ceased broadcast over XM on October 18, 2013.
