Broward College, previously known as the "Junior College of Broward County" and "Broward Community College," is a state college in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is part of the Florida College System.
Founded in 1910 and located in Durham, N.C., North Carolina Central University was the nation`s first publicly supported liberal arts college for African-Americans, and it is one of 17 institutions in the University of North Carolina system. With a student population of more than 8,400, NCCU is a comprehensive university offering baccalaureate, master`s, doctoral and professional degree programs. Today, liberal arts remain a signature program at NCCU, joined by five additional areas of academic emphasis: Education, Nursing, Biosciences, Business and Law. Capitalizing on its location in the heart of North Carolina`s Research Triangle, the university is home to two bioscience research institutes.
