As the Deputy Assistant Commissioner, Human Resources Management, you will:
Serve as the Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer for CBP.
Oversee hiring, recruitment and retention, HR policies and procedures, compensation, employee relations, training and professional development, and benefits planning and administration, and will lead efforts to help create a workplace climate and culture that support employees in pursuing outstanding work performance.
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on employee development and talent management, creating a strong link between the achievement of organizational objectives and the business processes used in human capital management. This will include developing strategic recruiting and retention plans; providing leadership in talent acquisition; developing tools for succession planning; and developing robust performance management strategies and supporting systems, and comprehensive incentives and rewards programs.
Develop and implement strategic HR goals for the agency, and provide leadership for policy and program development. Ensure adherence to Federal human resources laws, rules, and regulations. Identify best practices, collaboration opportunities, and innovative solutions that help advance the strategic goals of the agency.
Direct the overall administration, coordination, and assessment of the HR function, including recruitment, retention, training, employee data management, compensation, and benefits.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with Department of Homeland Security officials, other government agencies, and internal and external stakeholders, in a diverse and multicultural environment.
Direct the transformation of HR systems, processes, and benchmarks related to HR data.
Provide advice and counsel regarding the evaluation of employee performance and labor relations issues.
Oversee development and administration of employment-related policies and programs, including worker`s compensation, workplace wellness initiatives, and employee safety programs.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
