Within this context, trueEX provides a unique, electronic, regulated execution venue to facilitate the transition that is currently underway in the derivatives markets. trueEX LLC was granted designation by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a Designated Contract Market (DCM), on September 26, 2012 and was granted temporary registration to operate as a Swap Execution Facility (SEF) on September 20, 2013. Without disrupting the fundamental structure of the interest rate swap markets, trueEX offers market participants the dual benefits of automated execution and clearing in an electronic, CFTC-regulated, DCM exchange. The combination of domain expertise, next-generation technology, and innovative trading solutions enables trueEX to provide pre-trade certainty of execution and clearing, trade anonymity, pre-trade and post-trade transparency, as well as low cost execution for the interest rate swaps market. Open architecture enables customers to connect directly to trueEX via our proprietary user interface or API connection. Additionally, trueEX is clearing house agnostic and provides customers with a choice of clearing firms and clearing houses for their derivatives business.
