• Develop and communicate the company`s strategic technical direction.
• Prepare and administer engineering policies, procedures, budgets and reports.
• Participate in the planning and execution of strategic business goals and objectives.
• Assist the business development process of the organization, providing technology expertise.
• Should understand and excel at striking a great balance between adding business/customer value and technical priority to ensure we consistently deliver great value to our customers week over week while accomplishing essential technical objectives.
Strategic and cultural leader
• Rally the engineering, product, and design teams toward the long-term goals for the company.
• Inspire new engineers to join the organization and support sourcing and identification of talent.
• Set and maintain the technical culture to ensure the company can retain, attract and develop top technical talent.
• Work effectively and collaboratively across the entire organization.
Functional expertise and scale
• Empower the team to make the right strategic platform and technology decisions.
• Continuously drive internal business optimization, stability, productivity, and innovation.
• Build out a scalable agile process to facilitate operational maturity.
• Develop and own roadmaps, organizational design, and architecture.
• Establish and utilize performance based metrics and accountability throughout the organization.

• Experience methodically implementing robust, effective development practices.
• Proven ability to set the vision and strategy for technology and tech operations.
• Comfortable with technology scale and associated architectural challenges and experience proactively addressing them.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish rapport and trust.
• Strong business acumen with a hands on leadership style.
• 15+ years experience in a senior leadership role supporting data and software development teams.
• Strong Engineering background with previous hands-on development experience and interest in bleeding edge technologies.
• Good understanding and experience in marketplace products, data platforms, and SaaS products.
• Deep expertise with data platforms and data science.
