DoITT provides for the sustained, efficient and effective delivery of IT services, infrastructure and telecommunications to enhance service delivery to New York City's residents, businesses, employees and visitors. As the City's technology leader, DoITT is responsible for maintaining the foundational IT infrastructure and systems that touch every aspect of City life—from public safety to human services, from education to economic development—crossing the full spectrum of governmental operations. DoITT is a service provider, standard-setter, and IT innovator. But its role has evolved beyond "keeping the lights on." In addition to focusing on work in the data center, DoITT is at the center of shaping IT strategy and policy, especially as it relates to the emerging and innovative technologies that stand to make government more effective and user-friendly. With more than 1,200 staff and an operating budget of $375 million, DoITT empowers New Yorkers and the agencies that serve them with innovative and accessible technology solutions.
