Mille Lacs County is located in East Central Minnesota in the city of Milaca, with Mille Lacs Lake on its northern border and the city of Princeton at its southern border. The county covers 685 square miles. The population is 26,097 (2010 US Census).   Five commissioners represent the five districts, 17 townships, and eight cities within the county.   Board meetings are held at 9 a.m. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month in the Board Room at the Historic Courthouse.
