Job Purpose
This is a key executive responsible for augmenting and improving the marketing functions at Loring Ward. The primary goal is to enable sales (Advisor Relations Team) within the company. This position will support the Advisor Relations Team through development of content and messaging around Loring Ward investment management, investment research, current events and competitors. The person in this role will lead the communication efforts between the Portfolio Management Group and Financial Advisor Relations Team. We are looking for a smart and strategic thinker. Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with Head of Advisor Relations (Sales) and Portfolio Management to ensure consistency of message.
Work with the entire company to effectively communicate new research, ideas and improvements to Investment Advisors and their clients.
Partner with the sales team, Portfolio Strategy Group Communications Group to coordinate new projects and ideas
Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Liaisons to create relevant talking points and marketing materials around the current projects.
Coordinate research and analysis on the competitive landscape.
Provides leadership presence and direction for Loring Ward’s overall business and marketing strategy
Defines and drives marketing strategy to include internal/external communications and sales plan strategies to build and support growth
Liaising/networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations
Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing advertisements in the press [local, regional, national and specialist publications], and/or radio, television or other media depending on the campaign
Provides the marketing vision, as well as the tactical tools and execution, necessary to grow the top line of the business and leverage market opportunities successfully
Develops strategic plans including corporate positioning, market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans and related product positioning
Develops and implements digital marketing strategy including web design and social media programs
Plans and executes marketing designs and activities to establish and maintain brand presence in the market
Performs market research and analysis including market sizing, projected growth rates, trends distribution channels, projected ROI, assessing viability of potential new products and measuring success of recent campaigns
Oversees precut management including market and customer research for the market and products requirements, product development, product pricing and product lifecycle management
Drive consistency of quality and message in collateral, external communications and systems and internal communications and systems
Defines the appropriate marketing organization for business maturity and size
Develops the annual budget and business plan, exercising expense control, maximizing revenue and net operating income in compliance with LW’s corporate guidelines
Other duties will be assigned as needed
Required Skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of RIA and independent broker-dealer business
Proven leadership track record in dynamic and changing marketing environments
Proficiency in integrating digital marketing strategies with traditional media
Strong communications skills
Ability to build strong relationships and collaborative both internally and externally

Required Experience
10 to 15 years of marketing leadership experience, preferably in the financial services industry, including at least 5 years of direct marketing and campaign management experience
