Position Purpose:
The HR Team Leader will provide site leadership in creating a high performance culture that emphasizes employee engagement, quality, safety and effective continuous improvement implementation to drive a highly productive workforce. In addition, this role will have lead responsibility for labor relations management as well as other high performance initiatives to deliver transformation and ongoing continuous improvement to our work practices and team leader leadership capabilities.
The HR Team Leader will build on and apply their expertise in various areas including performance management, labor relations, lean manufacturing, organizational development, training and development of leaders and project management to enhance cross-sector effectiveness.
Scope:
Reports to the HR Director for Global Supply Chain. This position provides leadership and functional HR generalist support to the GSC Global Manufacturing group including Global KimTech, Supply Chain Strategy, External Manufacturing, Value Engineering, and Operation Systems & Standards. Counsels team leaders and all levels of the organization on the administration and interpretation of the labor agreement, site training development and standard work. Provides advice and counsel on all corrective actions.
Principle Accountabilities:
Provide HR generalist support to senior leaders and their teams
Lead and fully execute key K-C HR strategies and initiatives across customer groups
Lead Labor Relations for the KimTech West in a way that fosters positive labor relations through contract negotiations, contract interpretation, and ensuring contract adherence
Understand and identify organization issues, develop solutions and implement action plans
Review and analyze people metrics and data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve workforce planning, performance, retention, and engagement
Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities
Partner with Global Manufacturing leaders on organizational design, effectiveness and workforce planning
Partner with global HR teams and key stakeholders to successfully implement business unit initiatives
Partner with HR Centers of Excellence by supporting a broad range of Local and Corporate strategic HR initiatives to progress HR function. (Talent Management, Diversity & Inclusion, Compensation, Organization Effectiveness)
Design and execute staffing strategies for both exempt and non-exempt hiring needs
Provide labor relations support and foster positive labor relations with the Kimtech union facility; including contract negotiations, contract interpretation, and ensure contract adherence
Provide dotted line leadership to the HR Administrator at the Kimtech facility in Wuxi, China
Qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree required with Masters or MBA in Human Resource field preferred
Labor relations experience preferred
Minimum 5-7 years Human Resources Generalist experience
Experience working in highly matrixed organizations
Demonstrated success leading organizational change
Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to develop and align HR initiatives to accelerate achievement of strategic business objectives
Strong understanding of industry HR best practices
