This position is responsible for the Directing and/or Oversight of and/or supporting of the following functions: All Human Resources Operations/staff, Employee Relations, Recruitment/Discharge, Payroll-Time Keeping, Benefits /FMLA administration, Compensation, Safety, Training and Labor Law Compliance.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties
• Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.
• Oversight of Human Resources operations and personnel.
• Current knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
• Current knowledge of Federal, State, County and City statutes, laws and procedures...
• Maintaining open lines of communications with Management/Employees.
• Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
• Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
• Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.
• Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
• Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements
• Minimum college degree or equivalent/related experience.
• Minimum seven years related HR experience and/or training (Gaming experience is a plus).
• Must be literate and fluent in English (Bilingual a plus)
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills mandatory
• Ability to protect confidential information
• HR certification preferred (SHRM or HCRI)
