Hartig Drug is corporately located in Dubuque, IA where the first store was started by AJ Hartig more than 100 years ago. Throughout our 100-plus year history, Hartig Drug has played a key role in progressive retail practices including; opening the first Self-Service drug store in Iowa, being one of the first pharmacies to have a woman pharmacist and also being one of the first stores to hire women managers. Today our shelves are stocked with everything from over-the-counter drugs, beauty products, food and beverage products, sports care products, photo accessories, giftware and much more. Throughout the years Hartig Drug has expanded not only its product offerings in mixed retail and pharmacy, but has also expanded its number of locations from 1 store in 1904 to a current 19 retail stores in 2015. While the base of our company is located in Dubuque, IA, we have expanded our footprint to include many small communities in the Tri-State area of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. In addition to the 19 retail pharmacies that Hartig Drug currently operates, we also operate Hartig Pharmacy Services, Finley-Hartig Homecare, MedOne Healthcare Systems and AJ`s Cafe, all of which are located in Dubuque, IA.
