The Environmental & Remediation segment provides soil, water, and sediment environmental remediation for the municipal and private party markets, as well as industrial cleaning, abatement, and hazardous waste removal services. This segment serves general contractors, corporations, Superfund potentially responsible parties, environmental engineering and construction firms, and local government and municipal agencies. The company operates a fleet of 32 dredges, including 9 deployed internationally; 19 material transportation barges; 2 drill boats, and various other specialized support vessels. The company was formerly known as Lydon & Drews Partnership and changed its name to Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation in 1905.
