This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Chief Operating Office, Human Capital Office. The Supervisory HR Specialist oversees the employee benefits and worklife team, overseeing the provision of benefits and workplace flexibilities to CFPB employees nationwide. The incumbent oversees the provision of authoritative advice and guidance to senior management and CFPB staff on complex employee benefits and worklife program and policy issues, including executive benefits. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical expertise in the planning, implementation and assessment of current and proposed CFPB and Title 5 and non-Title 5 Federal benefits and workplace flexibilities.
As a Supervisory HR Specialist, Benefits, you will:
-Serve as the recognized senior expert on Title 5 and non-Title 5 CFPB Benefits and WorkLife programs. Plan, implement, and evaluate the CFPB Benefits Program, such as, health insurance, insurance plans such as life, vision/dental insurance, business travel accident insurance; long-term/short-term disability; flexible spending accounts; the CFPB physical exam program and 24-Hour Personal Accident insurance.
-Plan, implement, and evaluate the CFPB WorkLife Program, such as annual leave, sick leave, administrative leave/excused absence, leave without pay (LWOP), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave, military leave, voluntary leave transfer program, alternative work schedules, telework, nursing mothers` support and other worklife areas. Develop nationwide policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, and guidance for supervisors, managers, and employees in these program areas.
-Oversee the development, issuance and evaluation of contracts to provide a wide assortment of unique benefits, such as life insurance, accidental life, business travel/24-hour personal accident insurance, domestic partner benefits, the physical exam program, CFPB dental and vision, and short and long term disability. Analyze offerings against both Federal and non-Federal labor market entities in competition for CFPB`s mission critical occupations.
-Serve as policy advisor and project manager on benefits and worklife programs and policies. Research, develop, analyze and recommend program options with a total benefits perspective and serves as expert and policy consultant on such issues. Advise on solutions to complex and controversial benefits and worklife problems.
