The Chief Technology Officer provides strategic vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the mission and business objectives of the company. She/he directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of the company operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality and speed to market. This individual is responsible for all aspects of information technology and systems.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management: Directs and manages Business Technologies, Project Management Office, Production Operations, Infrastructure Services, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Development and Delivery, Software Development, and Technology Centers of Excellence; Leads IT operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems and applications across the enterprise. Accountable for effective delivery of technology solutions and services. Responsible for establishing IT departmental goals, objectives and operating procedures. Accountable for the development, tracking, and control of the IT annual operating and capital budgets.
Business partnership/Communications: Functions as a trusted advisor working closely with executive and senior business leadership to drive and execute technology for business strategies; Develops a broad spectrum of vehicles and forums that deliver frequent and timely communication about technology across the BOKF enterprise; Understands and submits subject matter requiring visibility to or direction from the Board of Directors and Board Committees.
Strategy: Provides strong strategic vision and technical leadership that seeks to deliver technologies ahead of business needs and identify new opportunities to grow and refine the business; Maintains an IT strategic plan, refreshed regularly and aligned with business technology roadmaps, cyber-security capabilities, and regulatory requirements.
Governance/Risk: Directs IT assessment and communication of risks associated with technology investments; Ensures appropriate IT governance and governance structures are in place to effectively manage technology across the enterprise; Accountable for identification and development of internal controls, internal standards, policies, and operating procedures; Seeks to drive continuous improvement of IT processes; Ensures IT system operations align with regulatory requirements and expectations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Comprehensive knowledge of design and implementation of complex systems, data management and processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems. Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
