The Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for providing operational and transactional support to various client groups in our Shelton Headquarters including but not limited to pre-recruitment evaluation of needs and job postings, basic employee relations support, training, performance management, policy interpretation and ancillary HR support.
Main Responsibilities:
• Partner with Talent Acquisition COE to execute staffing initiatives
• Supports on-boarding and off-boarding of team members
• Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
• Acts as liaison between team members and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all company, state and federal employment guidelines
• Executes strategies to support and enable a positive work environment
• Partner with Total Rewards team to drive Health and Wellness initiatives locally
• Champion change management efforts through leadership training and development and employee engagement for client groups
• Assist with the preparation of immigration documentation/applications and tracking
• Partner with HR and Corporate Communications on company event planning, execution and feedback for BIC, Inc. (events include: Values in Action, Employee Communication meetings, Health & Well-being and Sustainability Initiatives, etc.)
• Various projects as assigned
Qualifications:
• A bachelor`s degree and three to five years` human resource experience, or a master`s degree in human resource management and two years` experience in the HR field
• Highly-organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Experience working in a high-touch, high-volume environment.
• Proven ability to build relationships and partner effectively with multiple constituents.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and enterprise-wide Human Resource Information Systems
• Demonstrated customer service focus.
• Basic understanding or ability to learn of benefits, compensation cycles and processes.
• Superior communications and interpersonal skills, including presentation abilities
• Exceptional time management, project management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Solid Internet research and computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with a high degree of confidentiality
