Stop Hunger Now

Since our founding in 1998, we have provided over 225 million meals in 73 countries. This year, we will package 45 million meals, and ship over $9 million in donated aid, mainly vitamins and medical supplies. Based in Raleigh, N.C., we operate meal-packaging programs at 20 cities in the U.S. and in South Africa, Malaysia, India, Italy, Peru and the Philippines. We have engaged over 500,000 corporate, student, civic and faith-based volunteers in meal-packaging. In just under two hours, a group of 40 to 50 volunteers can package 10,152 nutrient-rich meals for the undernourished globally. We also educate volunteers about hunger and inspire them to help end it.

United Way for Southeastern Michigan

We don`t just work for a paycheck. We work for a mission. We`re igniting a social movement in Greater Detroit by empowering people to unite and solve complex problems that affect us all. We believe people can live their best lives when they are educated, financially stable and healthy. Attaining any one of these alone is good, but it is not enough. Only people that have all three are able to build — and sustain — a vibrant community.

Jewish Family Service of Atlantic and Cape May Counties

At Jewish Family Service, we are One Source for a Lifetime of Help. When a family needs help following a disaster, when a family yearns to adopt a child, when a single parent can no longer make ends meet, when a senior needs food, transportation, or companionship—we make a difference in people’s lives. We’re dedicated to serving our entire community. You can see it in our past, you can feel it in our present, and you can count on it in our future. Jewish Family Service was founded in 1918 by a consortium of women’s clubs who sought to address the myriad of human needs of the time. Today, we have grown into one of San Diego’s premier human care service organizations serving more than 35,000 people annually throughout San Diego County and the Coachella Valley. Our Mission is Strengthen the individual, enhance the family, protect the vulnerable, with human services based on Jewish values.

Girl Scouts Heart of the South

Girl Scouting exists to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. As the world’s largest organization of girls, we hone the leadership skills and provide the opportunities to make an impact. But it’s the girls who set the agenda. Girl Scouts Heart of the South serves over 9,300 girls with the help of 3,100 volunteers in north Mississippi, west Tennessee, and Crittenden County, Arkansas. Being a Girl Scout makes the world smaller and the girl bigger. More than ever, the challenges that face us are shared. Economic and social changes that once took shape over a generation now ripple around the world in a few years. Learning to connect and take action across boundaries of any kind is now a vital skill. In the blink of an eye, today`s Girl Scouts will take their places as leaders of households, communities, businesses, and governments. And they’ll be ready.
